Located in Downtown Portland, the Western Culinary Institute is privately owned and operated culinary school that works in conjunction with the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College.  Much like the Cordon Bleu, they offer diplomas and Associate of Occupational Studies degrees in both culinary arts and patisserie and baking.  The school, which currently has around 800 students total, is fully accredited and shares a complex with the Le Cordon Bleu school.  The school itself is owned by the Career Education Corporation, a company that currently operates over 80 smaller colleges and trade schools.
