A completely unique take on the cooking class, the chefs at Hipcooks, who currently operate three studios along the West Coast, provide students with a hands on learning experience designed to help the amateur and the seasoned chef alike. While this is not a culinary school in the university or college sense, the knowledge provided to students is very valuable when transitioning into the real world. Not only will budding cooks learn the use of finer instruments, like knives, but they will also get additional knowledge of the taste and creation of food without following the rigid confines of a recipe. Many students learn new cooking techniques and menu management skills for parties of 30 or more. Classes are normally limited in size, so get your seat immediately. The teachers typically rotate through their three main studios, located in East Los Angeles, West Los Angeles, and Portland. Just a heads up, coming soon is a fourth studio in Seattle!
